Crowley Restoration Initiative

We exist to break cycles of transgenerational trauma through workshops, mentorship, and family advocacy by equipping individuals and families with the tools and support they need to heal. Our hope is to see every generation grow up in safe, emotionally healthy environments where stability, trust, and resilience can take root.

"Equipping parents and caregivers so that children can grow up healthy, stable, and free."

ABOUT US

The Story of Crowley Restoration Initiative.

Founded on March 15, 2022, by Chartrice Crowley, the Crowley Restoration Initiative is built on over 25 years of dedicated experience in education and community advocacy. Chartrice has spent more than two decades championing children and their families, ensuring they have the tools to thrive.

The vision for the initiative was born in 2020 on a gym floor in South Nashville. While teaching children proven techniques for emotional regulation and healthy conflict resolution, Chartrice noticed a recurring challenge: students would return to their homes eager to use these new skills, only to be met with misunderstanding or ridicule from their surroundings.

Realizing that lasting change requires a unified approach, Chartrice identified the "missing link" : the need to educate parents and caregivers alongside their children. This holistic model ensures a continuity of healthy emotional and mental health practices, fostering stronger, more resilient families.

OUR MISSION IN ACTION

FAQ

Learn more about our approach to supporting families and helping parents build healthier futures for their children.

  • We support parents and caregivers with children aged 0 to 12.

  • This is the cycle of abuse, dysfunction, and trauma passed down through generations. It shapes how we view ourselves, how we parent, and how we navigate our relationships with others. Our goal is to help families recognize these patterns and break the cycle.

  • A family advocate is a dedicated partner from our team who walks alongside your family. They provide personalized support to help you navigate life’s challenges and strengthen your family dynamic.

How We Serve:

  • Unresolved and Transgenerational Trauma
Many individuals carry the emotional and behavioral impacts of trauma passed down through families and communities. Without awareness and tools for healing, these patterns can continue to influence how people see themselves and interact with others.

  • Limited Access to Trauma-Informed Education and Healing Spaces Many communities lack accessible programs that help individuals understand trauma, develop emotional awareness, and build healthy coping strategies in supportive and restorative environments.

  • Cycles of Harmful Behavioral and Parenting Patterns
When trauma goes unaddressed, it often shapes how individuals respond to stress, manage conflict, and parent their children. These inherited patterns can unintentionally be passed to the next generation. CRI works to interrupt these cycles by promoting self-reflection, accountability, and healthier approaches to relationships and parenting.
